Steel &
Acrylic

Two materials. One extraordinary structure. Steel holds the ocean at bay. Acrylic invites it in. Together they create the world's first underwater hotel guest room.

  • Marine-Grade Construction — Selected for saltwater environments. Treated, coated, and tested to the highest standards.
  • 12-Foot Cylindrical Diameter — The round form distributes hydrostatic pressure evenly across the entire structure.
  • Robotic Precision Welding — Multiple Cajun-owned steel fabricators in the Houma and Morgan City, Louisiana area bring robotic welding technology to every seam, every joint, every seal.
  • Modular & Deployable — Staged horizontally in the BigTop, loaded into shipping containers, and deployed to 15 Caribbean island nations and beyond.

The 8-foot arched acrylic panel is the centerpiece of every guest room — a curved window into the ocean world. Crystal clear. Pressure-tested. Designed to bring the sea inside without letting it in.

Every module undergoes rigorous pressure testing before deployment. The cylindrical geometry — chosen deliberately — distributes ocean pressure evenly, ensuring structural integrity at depth for the lifetime of the hotel.

Robotic Fabrication

Multiple Cajun-owned steel fabricators — barge builders and steel rolling mills — bring robotic welding technology to Planet Ocean modules. Precision at scale, built in Louisiana.

Ongoing Operations

This is not a one-time contract. Cajun families will operate and maintain the mechanical and hydraulic systems, the 250kW biofuel generators, and the support vessels serving 15 Caribbean island nations.

Employee-Owned

Planet Ocean operations are built to be employee-owned by Cajun families. A generational stake — not just in the work, but in the enterprise. Planet Ocean understands that Cajun families are the backbone of what we build.

Cajuns and U.S. veterans side by side — in the fabrication halls, on the support vessels, and in the mechanical rooms beneath the Caribbean Sea. Two proud cultures. One shared mission.

From the fabrication docks of Houma and Morgan City, Planet Ocean modules travel to fifteen Caribbean island nations — bringing world-class underwater hospitality powered by Louisiana craftsmanship, Cajun ingenuity, and the deep knowledge of families who have worked steel and water for generations.
